Well, in case I'm the first one to encounter this problem. But what is needed, is something better than Google search links to old Nabbles etc. It may be related to the distribution, it may be due unfortunate circumstances, but my basic point is this: why can't the key combination toggle status on/off? Why make KDE rocket science and humiliate users? Now, with Windows 8 with its lousy control and nonexistent control over running applications there is a chance to win new users. This time, however, I can not get touchpad back to life no matter what I try (using the graphical tools provided by the system). I've encountered this before, and with a little help from an USB mouse I have been able to fix my errors. Before I restarted the system, I accidentally disabled the integrated touchpad when trying to increase brightness on my elderly HP laptop.
I was in a middle of a huge update on my Sabayon system.
